Digicel Samoa has issued an urgent warning to customers following the circulation of scam social media post targeting its MyCash mobile wallet users.
Digicel Samoa said has urged customers to avoid engaging with a fraudulent Facebook post and the report the content to assist in its removal.
The telecommunications provider said its digital team is working with the social media platform to take down the post.
“We kindly ask everyone not to engage with the post and to help us by pressing the ‘Report’ button to assist in having it removed as quickly as possible,” Digicel Samoa said in the statement.
The company did not provide further details about the content of the fake post or identify who was behind it.
