The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) is warning the public against fraudulent text messages, or “smishing,” that misuse the name and identity of PHLPost to steal personal and sensitive financial information.
PHLPost said scammers typically send text messages containing suspicious links, claiming that there is a problem with the delivery of a parcel because of an incomplete address or that an immediate “redelivery fee” must be paid using a credit or debit card.
