Through a strategic partnership with BANKSETA, the Cape Peninsula University of Technology has cleared over R11.6 million in historical student debt.
This initiative has unlocked long-withheld qualifications for 141 graduates, turning what was once a bittersweet graduation milestone into a full realisation of their academic achievements.
Despite participating in graduation and earning their degrees, these graduates returned home with only confirmation letters, leaving their physical diplomas inaccessible.
On Friday, that story changed. A total of141 graduates received their certificates for the first time, restoring access to careers, professional registration, and further study. This certificate handover was more than a ceremony.
