The Madlanga Commission has granted the secret testimony for Witness P.
Madlanga Commission has closed its doors to the public after granting Witness P’s request to testify in camera, citing the potentially serious risks of exposing sensitive intelligence.
Public proceedings were adjourned for the day, with the witness’s evidence now set to be heard behind closed doors.
The commission is expected to resume its public hearings on Monday at 9:30am.
Witness P had asked that both his appearance and any future appearances before the inquiry be held in camera, with his evidence and supporting material kept confidential.
