More than 100 persons were screened at a free cancer screening camp held at Pattukottai on August 14.According to sources, the camp was organised by the Karaikal Iyangars Foods Limited in association with Thangam Cancer Centre, Namakkal, at a marriage hall in Pattukottai, attended by people from Pattukottai and surrounding hamlets.Screening and examination services, including random blood sugar, digital chest X-ray with AI-based evolution, clinical examination for breast-related concerns, pap smear for cervical cancer and dental examination for oral and dental disorders, were provided to the people at the camp, sources added.
