On Thursday, Apple Inc.
(NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Tim Cook was joined by U.S.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and others at the opening of the new Advanced Manufacturing Center in Houston, Texas, where Cupertino will begin making Mac mini computers later this year.
Apple Opens Houston Manufacturing Center The 20,000-square-foot center will provide free training to small and midsized businesses, workers and students on advanced manufacturing techniques, including machine-learning-powered quality control and automation.
"In less than nine months, we have invested hundreds of millions of dollars into this Houston facility," Cook said in a press release.
