Mike Layton is weighing a Toronto council run — but progressive rivals say they aren’t backing down

Mike Layton, former Toronto councillor and son of the late NDP leader Jack Layton, is weighing a comeback at city hall.

Layton, who is stepson of Mayor Olivia Chow, is deciding whether to toss his hat in the ring to return as the representative for University-Rosedale in the Oct. 26 civic election.
