The leader of an online advocacy group who has gained thousands of followers for his gloves-off approach to criticizing progressive policies — and faced accusations of toxifying local politics in the process — says he plans to run for Toronto city council.
Daniel Tate, executive director of IntegrityTO, confirmed to the Star he intends to sign up Wednesday for the race in Toronto Centre, where he would face off against one-term incumbent Chris Moise — the politician whom Tate filed an ethics complaint against last year.
