Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan on Thursday (August 13, 2026) handed over the appointment order for the post of food safety officer to Niranjana N. Nair, daughter of late former Kannur Additional District Magistrate (ADM) K. Naveen Babu, saying that the “government has kept its word.”Naveen Babu was found dead at his official residence in Kannur on October 15, 2024.In a post on X, Mr. Satheesan said, “The appointment order for the Food Safety Officer position in the Food Safety Department under the Samaswastha Employment Grant Scheme was handed over to Niranjana N.
