Ahead of 80th Independence Day celebrations, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rallies were organised in Ongole and Nellore districts.Ongole Trunk Road was packed with more than 3,000 participants, including students, government staff from various departments and locals, all carrying national flags on Thursday. The participants marched from Prakasam Bhavan to Mini Stadium, raising ‘Vande Mataram’ chants.Addressing the gathering, Prakasam District Collector P. Raja Babu said that today's independent India was the result of the sacrifices made by numerous great figures and extended his Independence Day greetings to the public. He noted that significant progress had been achieved over the years and emphasised the need for greater collective effort to position the country at the forefront across all sectors.
