Kapros 2026 will transform the stone-built village of Ano Tseria, Messinia, in the Peloponnese into a large-scale open-air gallery, bringing together 10 artists across seven locations in three settlements. Photography and image-based works will appear in public spaces ranging from bus stops and cafes to a primary school, municipal office, parking area and buildings under renovation. The festival will feature photography, animation, collage, painted film positives and short films, creating a dialogue between contemporary art, local life and the community. Rather than presenting a protest, Kapros aims to encourage interaction with visitors through works inspired by experiences from Greece and beyond. Workshops, talks, guided tours and surprise events will also form part of the program.
