As more Africans build businesses, travel, and trade across borders, the need for stronger payment infrastructure has become more urgent than ever. Recognising the growing demand for practical conversations around the challenges of moving money across African markets, Condia is launching The Borderless Experience, its flagship event dedicated to the future of cross-border payments, travel and commerce.
The event, scheduled to be held in Lagos on 21 August 2026, will bring together founders, payment leaders, regulators, infrastructure providers, investors, travel operators and logistics companies for a curated working session focused on the operational realities of building across multiple African markets. Rather than relying on broad industry conversations, the event will feature operator-led discussions and debate-driven sessions centred on practical decisions, partnerships and infrastructure.
Benjamin Dada, Founder of Condia, shared that the inspiration behind The Borderless Experience came after recognising that the industry’s biggest gaps were no longer around ambition but around access to practical knowledge.
“I realised I didn’t want to build a startup. I wanted to build a product that solves the problem,” Dada said. “A lot of people have talked to me about building a startup but can’t seem to find licences or banking partners, who to hire, or answers to some of the real-world challenges. Those are the conversations we want to create room for.”
