Firemen putting out a fire that broke out in a working shed at Shri Krishna Pyrotechnics near Sivakasi on Thursday.
Two persons were killed in a fire accident reported at Shri Krishna Pyrotechnics at Namaskarithanpatti under Tiruthangal police station limits near Sivakasi on Thursday.The deceased were identified as S. Balamurugan, 40, of Sivakasi and K. Ahmed Ibrahim of Tirunelveli.The police said the duo were involved in installing and testing a new machinery meant for chemical mixing when an explosion was reported at around 1.30 p.m. While Balamurugan was killed on the spot, Ibrahim was rushed to Sivakasi Government Hospital with 100% burns.After he was administered first-aid, he was referred to Government Virudhunagar Medical College Hospital.
