MANILA, Philippines — A caregiver was arrested in Makati City for allegedly stealing nearly P600,000 worth of cash and jewelry from her 77-year-old employer, a person with disability (PWD), the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Thursday.
The suspect was arrested at about 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, several hours after the victim’s family discovered the alleged theft at around 7 a.m. in Barangay San Antonio.

According to the Makati City police, the stolen items had a total estimated value of P594,787, consisting of P294,787 in cash, a gold bracelet, and a gold ring valued at about P300,000.
