President Ramaphosa officially launched South Africa's Electronic Travel Authorisation
President Cyril Ramaphosa officially launched South Africa's Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system.
The system is designed to make travelling to South Africa easier and more predictable for eligible international visitors, while strengthening the government’s ability to assess travellers and manage the country’s borders.
The launch took place at OR Tambo International Airport, South Africa’s busiest international gateway, and forms part of a broader government drive to modernise Home Affairs services and remove barriers to tourism, trade and investment.
The Electronic Travel Authorisation is a digital system that allows eligible travellers to apply for travel authorisation online before travelling to South Africa.
