Scrumhalf Ross Braude to captain the heavily reshuffled Sharks side in Kinberly at the weekend.

The Sharks XV face their fourth and final road trip of the Currie Cup first round when they travel to Kimberley on Friday to take on Griquas in a fifth-round clash.

It has been a demanding week for the Sharks, with last Saturday’s Currie Cup encounter against Boland followed just three days later by the All Blacks’ visit to Kings Park. The hectic schedule has stretched player resources at the Shark Tank, leaving coach Mike Vowles with the challenging task of managing workloads and juggling his squad.

“We’re back on the road on Friday afternoon, so it’s a quick turnaround for us, and there are a lot of moving parts for us this week,” Vowles said.

“We’ll prepare well, ice a few sore bodies and go to Kimberley fully prepared to fight for the full 80.”
