Ukraine's Defense Forces struck four Russian warships in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, Russia, on the night of August 12.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

"On the night of August 12, 2026, as part of a joint operation, units of Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the naval base in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation," the statement said.

According to preliminary information, four Russian warships sustained varying degrees of damage: two Project 11356 frigates, the Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen; the Project 21631 Buyan-M small missile ship; and the Project 22160 Vasily Bykov patrol ship.
