During the night of July 16, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck six Russian tankers, two tugboats, an oil depot, bridges, and other military targets belonging to the Russian Federation.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the operation on Facebook.
"Six tankers and two tugboats were struck in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. The tankers are used to transport Russian oil and petroleum products in violation of international sanctions, as well as to deliver fuel for the needs of the Russian Armed Forces," the General Staff stated.
The Shakhtarsk oil depot in the occupied city of Shakhtarsk, Donetsk region, was also hit. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
