Two are also suspected of participating in the PKK's activities.The NBI opened a preliminary investigation into suspected terrorist financing in early 2025.Evidence gathered during the investigation gave reason to suspect that several people had been involved in the regular collection of funds for the PKK.Company visitsInvestigators said the suspects travelled around Finland, visiting businesses owned by people of foreign background. The NBI said the purpose of these visits was to collect funds to support the PKK's activities.The suspects deny any wrongdoing.The PKK is an armed organisation that has sought self-government for Kurds. Turkey, the United States and the European Union, including Finland, classify it as a terrorist organisation.Because the case involves suspected terrorism offences, the decision on whether to bring charges will be made by the deputy prosecutor general.
