However, a labour expert expresses caution regarding the long-term effectiveness of these operations, citing concerns about resources and strategy.
These developments follow a recent media briefing, during which National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NATJOINTS) Chairperson Lieutenant-General Tebello Mosikili said that the government is consistently applying a whole-of-government strategy to enforce the law.
“Departments are working together to address illegal employment, labour exploitation, undocumented migration and other forms of non-compliance,” Mosikili said.
