MANILA, Philippines — A total of 72 trucks of garbage have so far been collected at the Redemptorist Water Channel in Parañaque City amid the heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat.

As of 8 a.m. on Wednesday, the city government said that this volume is equivalent to 396.6 metric tons of waste hauled for the past three days.

“On the third day of clearing operations of Baclaran Redemptorist Water Channel, 72 trucks of garbage have been collected,” the city government said in a Facebook post.
