MANILA, Philippines — ACMobility has expanded its electric vehicle infrastructure initiatives to strengthen public transportation networks through dual partnerships with Basic Energy Corporation and Grab Philippines. The Ayala Group’s mobility unit is deploying physical charging stations along major traffic corridors while launching digital fleet management technology to support electric buses, taxis, and ride-hailing vehicles.

Through its collaboration with Basic Energy, ACMobility is building charging hubs to power public transport fleets operating under the Iwas Taas Pamasahe Transport Solutions Program. The initiative enables local operators to transition to electric buses with zero upfront costs and complete ownership after five years. To maintain fleet uptime, ACMobility is constructing dedicated charging stations along primary commuter routes that cater to both public transit and private vehicles.

“Our transition to electric mobility can only be complete if we also electrify public transport,” said Carla Buencamino, head of mobility infrastructure at ACMobility. “Through our partnership with Basic Energy, we are building an EV charging network that powers not just private vehicles but also public transportation fleets from North to South. This is at the core of ACMobility’s mission to build a comprehensive electric mobility system in the Philippines.”
