CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — More than 111,000 individuals in Mimaropa have been affected by the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, and Tropical Storm Maymay, according to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The DSWD Field Office Mimaropa said in its Disaster Response Management Division Progress Report No. 8, issued at 4 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 11), that a total of 24,515 families or 111,323 individuals had been affected in 168 barangays in Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro and Romblon.
