Three suspects arrested and face multiple charges including business robbery,possession of stolen property and unlicensed firearms.
The Motherwell Cluster Trio Task Team arrested three suspects and recovered two firearms, live ammunition, and suspected stolen property during an intelligence-driven operation in the Motherwell policing precinct on Tuesday.
Acting on information about Motherwell Cluster house robberies and an Ikamvelihle business, members arrested the first suspect at Mjondolo informal settlement.
They then tracked a stolen iPhone to NU 9, linking it to an NU 7 robbery.
Capt Sandra Janse Van Rensburg said: “The investigation continued and members proceeded to Makhotyana Street, where suspects allegedly retaliated against the police.”
