The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), has petitioned the Lagos State Attorney General, accusing the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) of delaying the prosecution of three suspects arrested over the disappearance of three-year-old Ibrahim Owodunni in Iba New Site, Lagos.
The group, in the petition dated August 7, 2026 and addressed to the Attorney General, alleged that the DPP has failed to provide legal advice and file the necessary information in the case despite a request by the Yaba Magistrate Court 4 since March 16, 2026.
The case, marked Charge No. F/22/26, Commissioner of Police v. Ige Sadiq and two others, Adetayo Yusuf and Vera Okon, concerns the disappearance of Ibrahim from his residence at 13 Orji Street, Iba New Site, on January 17, 2026.
