ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba says the party’s mayoral candidates will be expected to serve all residents, regardless of political affiliation, as ActionSA campaigns ahead of the November 4 local elections.
ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba says the party’s mayoral candidates must prioritise South Africans and serve all residents if elected in the November 4 local government elections.
Mashaba was speaking in KwaZulu-Natal at the weekend, where ActionSA announced its mayoral candidates for eThekwini, KwaDukuza and Newcastle.
Zwakele Mncwango was nominated for eThekwini, Halalisani Ndlovu for KwaDukuza and Zwe Nxumalo for Newcastle.
“We are not announcing mayors of the world to go and serve Harare, to go and serve Lagos, to go and serve Lahore. We want them to serve people of these municipalities,” Mashaba said.
