President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Russians planned their attack on Zaporizhzhia to inflict maximum damage specifically on civilian infrastructure.
According to Ukrinform, the head of state announced this on Facebook.
“Work has been underway since last night to address the aftermath of the Russian strike in Zaporizhzhia. The city was hit by North Korean ballistic missiles, ‘Zircons,’ and guided bombs. It was a brutal attack, calculated to inflict maximum damage specifically on civilian infrastructure. Unfortunately, as of now, six people are known to have been killed and nineteen wounded in the city. My condolences go out to their families and loved ones. Rescue workers are continuing to extinguish a fire at one of the impact sites,” Zelensky said.
