The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has announced that Ukrainian long-range strikes hit multiple strategic military and energy targets inside Russia, including a weapons production plant, an oil refinery, logistics infrastructure and a warship, as Kyiv continues to intensify attacks deep within Russian territory.
In a statement on Saturday, Zelensky said the latest operation was part of Ukraine's ongoing response to sustained Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.
"Ukraine continues applying long-range sanctions in response to Russian strikes. Last night, the warriors of our Defense Forces hit targets across different regions of Russia that are fueling this war," the Ukrainian president said.
