Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service Dr. Zacch Adedeji
The National Association of Nigerian Students has called on President Bola Tinubu to remove the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service Dr. Zacch Adedeji from office and order an investigation into an alleged $279 million transfer from the Frontier Exploration Fund.
NANS, through its Forum of Zonal Coordinators covering Zones A to F, also gave the federal government a 72-hour ultimatum to act on its demands, warning that failure to do so could lead to nationwide protests by students.
Arewa PUNCH reports that the demands were contained in a statement issued on Saturday and signed on behalf of the Forum of NANS Zonal Coordinators.
The students’ body alleged that the $279 million was transferred from the Frontier Exploration Fund account without the approvals and statutory authorisations it said were required under the Petroleum Industry Act, 2021.
