TVTV NewsMartin KempRoman Kemp left his father Martin fuming after he admitted to pulling a rather disgusting prank on him20:30, 10 Aug 2026Martin Kemp was left not best pleased after hearing the rather gross prank that his son Roman pulled on him.‌The father-and-son duo returned to screens on Monday night (August 10) for the first episode of their new travelogue show, Martin and Roman's Irish Road Trip.‌The three-part series sees the former Spandau Ballet bassist Martin and presenter son Roman visit idyllic spots across Meath, County Cork, Dublin and the Causeway Coast.‌In the first episode, the pair started their journey in County Cork, and followed them stirring myths, kayaking and hearing about the Queen of the Banshees, as well as the traditional way of dealing with loss.But things took a stomach-churning turn when Roman revealed the gross prank he pulled on his famous dad after he put him in the economy section of a plane.‌Reminiscing, Roman said: “The last time we did a holiday together was when me and Harley [his sister] were kids. Big memories there; getting on the aeroplane watching you and mum turn left and me and Harley go right into economy.“Me and Harley squished up for an almost 12-hour flight!” Roman then added: “Me and Harley got you back though for putting us in the rubbish seats though.”‌A curious Martin asked: “How?” Roman then explained: “One time you were going into the sea and we were on the beach, and you just ordered a sandwich and you had your sandwich on the side.“And one of those beach dogs - you don’t really know whose dog it is, but it was there - it came over and Harley and I welcomed it over, opened your sandwich and let it lick just your sandwich.”‌Disgusted, Martin fired back: “Oh you never! You’re joking!” Roman said: “Yeah and just watched you have it.” Martin went on: “Why because I put you in economy?” to which Roman replied: “Yeah.” Martin said: “No, you never!
