Transfer fees for Brazilian women's soccer players have risen by around 170% since 2024, driven by growing viewership and interest in women's soccer.
The sequence of records began with defender Tarciane, transferred from Corinthians to Houston Dash for around 2.6 million reais ($549 million), followed by forward Priscila, sold by Internacional to América of Mexico for 2.8 million reais ($510 million).Tarciane regained the top spot when she was transferred to Lyon (France) for $960,000, before being surpassed in October 2025 by Amanda Gutierres, sold by Palmeiras to Boston Legacy for $1.1 million.
The latest record came with forward Kerolin, transferred from Manchester City to Barcelona for €1.2 million, a 173.1% increase over Tarciane's first transfer, in 2024.
According to Ruskaya Zanini of FSports agency, Brazilian players are seen as "extremely valuable assets in the international market," and deals of this size "boost the entire ecosystem, attracting global brands and new sponsors."
Renata Armiliato, Internacional's soccer manager, says, "The challenge now is to turn this moment into structure, investment and continuity."
