Chinese green technology company Envision says that it has commissioned a 2GW campus in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia.
Envision, which specializes in wind turbines, energy storage, and green hydrogen, said last week that the campus’ 120,000 sqm (1,291,669 sq ft) data center would be “powered directly by renewable energy.”

Details about the construction timeline, potential end-users, and who was being commissioned to build the data center were not provided.
Envision is the latest company to announce the construction of a large-scale data center campus in the city. In early August, reports surfaced saying that Chinese AI champion DeepSeek and social media platform RedNote would be building a 1GW and a 600MW campus respectively in Ulanqab.
