LEGAZPI CITY — The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in Bicol on Monday, Aug. 10, began investigating a reported fish kill that started on Aug. 8 in Lake Buhi, Camarines Sur.
Wheng Bricia-Briones, BFAR Bicol information officer, said there was no data yet on the extent of the losses or the number of fisherfolk affected by the incident as of press time.

She said teams from the BFAR 5-Fisheries Integrated Laboratory were deployed to assess and validate the reported fish kill, determine its possible cause and evaluate its impact on the lake.
