LINAMON, Lanao del Norte — Shellfish samples from coastal waters of Panguil Bay, particularly in Tangub City, Misamis Occidental, have tested positive for Paralytic Shellfish Toxin (PST), the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) said.

The confirmation was based on tests conducted by the National Fisheries Laboratory Division of the BFAR Central Office using the Receptor Binding Assay method, according to BFAR Region 10 Director Edward Yasay.
