LUCENA CITY, Philippines – A 28-year-old man died Saturday night, Aug. 8, reportedly electrocuted while walking along a flooded street in Lipa City, Batangas.
In a report, the Lipa City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) said the victim, whose identity was withheld, was walking along J.P. Laurel Highway in Barangay Tambo at 11:20 p.m.
According to the report, the victim, a resident of Cuenca, Batangas, touched a streetlight pole that was suspected to be electrically energized during heavy rainfall.
