The Pallikaranai Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for smuggling and selling ganja on the Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road on Saturday.A senior official of the Tambaram Police Commissionerate said a police team from the Pallikaranai Station were on patrol duty on the Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road, when they spotted a suspicious individual and questioned him.After he gave evasive answers, the police searched his bag and found 500 grams of ganja. The police then arrested him.The accused was identified as Babu Mede, a native of West Bengal, who had brought the ganja to sell in the city. Published - August 09, 2026 12:47 am IST
