Diamond Harbour (WB): Police have seized 122 kg of ganja and arrested two persons from West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, an officer said on Saturday.Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the Diamond Harbour Police and Magrahat police raided an under-construction house near a waterbody at Jukdia on Friday night and seized 122 kg of ganja, the officer said.The two arrested persons were identified as Faridul Piyada and Sahebur Rahman Molla, both residents of Jukdia area, police said.Also read: Rs 21.5 crore worth gold, Rs 28.5 crore cash seized from bus driver's house in West BengalDiamond Harbour Superintendent of Police Chandrasekhar Bardhan said the raid was conducted following specific intelligence inputs and 122 kg of ganja was seized."An investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the contraband, those involved in its supply and whether a larger network is operating behind the drug trade," the SP said.The police have already gathered some leads and are working to identify other persons allegedly linked to the supply network, Bardhan said.
