OLONGAPO CITY, Philippines —The water level beneath Sta. Rita Bridge in this city reached the critical level on Saturday evening (Aug. 8) as rains brought by the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” continued to affect the city.
As of 6:10 p.m., the water level beneath Sta. Rita Bridge reached 2.5 meters, up from 2.3 meters recorded at 2 p.m.
The water level beneath Del Rosario Bridge also rose to 2.1 meters from 1.8 meters and remained at the warning level. At Kalaklan Bridge, the water level increased to 2.1 meters from 1.6 meters, also reaching the warning level.
