The importance of organizational culture in elections is not often considered, but that is precisely what voters must think about as they weigh the candidates running for municipal council and mayor in October’s municipal elections across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Specifically, voters must not only assess candidates’ policy and plans, but they also must consider whether the candidates bring a pro-housing mentality to the table — and even more importantly, whether under their leadership this mindset will take hold throughout the organizations that they could ultimately govern.
