Two Nigerian women have been taken into custody by railway police in Delhi, India, after officers allegedly recovered 2.28 kilograms of cocaine estimated to be worth about Rs20 crore, roughly N380 million.

The suspects were identified as 43-year-old Chikanso James and 41-year-old Happiness Okoye. They were arrested during a patrol operation on Platform One of Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, according to The New Indian Express.

Police authorities said the women attracted suspicion because of their conduct, prompting officers to search under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

During the operation, officers reportedly recovered 11 packets containing the suspected cocaine from James.

The substance was subsequently examined by members of the crime team and forensic specialists, who confirmed it was cocaine.
