A chieftain of the Action Democratic Congress (ADC), Comrade Usman Okai Austin, has commended the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Oluwatosin Ajayi, alongside the military hierarchy and local vigilantes, for the successful rescue of the abducted Woro community members.

The victims, who were kidnapped during a deadly attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, arrived in Ilorin following their release after months in captivity.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, Comrade Okai described the rescue as a major breakthrough driven by effective intelligence gathering, seamless information sharing, and operational coordination among security agencies and local assets.

He cautioned against the politicization of national security, appealing to citizens to actively collaborate with security personnel in the collective interest of the nation.

In a related development, Okai also commended the DSS leadership for its firm stance on internal discipline following the recent arraignment of a retired DSS officer, Ihechimere Ezeakolam.
