A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Austin Okai, has said the successful rescue of abducted residents of Woro community in Kwara State reflects effective coordination among Nigeria’s security agencies.

The victims were abducted during an attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State and recently arrived in Ilorin after spending months in captivity.

Addressing journalists in Abuja on Friday, Okai attributed the success of the operation to intelligence-led policing and collaboration among security agencies.

Okai also commended the military leadership, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Oluwatosin Ajayi, the and local vigilantes for their roles in securing the victims’ release.
