The following is from “The Times Educational Supplement” of July 3rd:—At the forthcoming Congress of British Universities at Cambridge, the question of the recognition of the degrees of Indian universities by Oxford and Cambridge will be considered. At the second annual meeting of the Inter-University Board of India held at Delhi in February Sir Philip Hartog, who took a prominent share in the establishment of the board and is to be its representative at the conference, was requested to submit the case of the Indian universities. It was reported at the first session held at Bombay that Cambridge was unwilling to consider individual applications from Indian universities for affiliation. Published - July 31, 2026 02:15 am IST
