Microsoft is finally phasing out Manifest V2 extensions in Edge, following years of delays and uncertainty. The company has shared updated timeline.

Back in late 2022, Microsoft had announced that it was looking to support Manifest V2 extensions at least until around January of 2024. Well, that had come and gone, and in the meantime, we wondered when the final nail in the coffin announcement would arrive.
Fast forward to today, the company has finally updated its Manifest V2 (MV2) support timeline, and it is pretty much in line with what we had speculated a couple of months ago, when Google had begun killing off all MV2 extensions once and for all, as even bypasses were going to stop working.
