Small modular reactor (SMR) firm Nuclea Energy has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bitcoin miner New Mining Co. to evaluate the feasibility of deploying its nuclear reactor technology to power New Mining’s operations behind the meter.
The MoU sets out a collaborative framework under which the parties will assess co-locating advanced modular power units utilizing Nuclea’s proprietary technology at or adjacent to New Mining’s data center facilities.
