MANILA, Philippines — Batangas First District Rep. Leandro Leviste and his mother, Sen. Loren Legarda, have left the country, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag and the Bureau of Immigration (NBI) confirmed on Friday.
Matibag said this after Leviste failed on Thursday, Aug. 6, to comply with the subpoena that the NBI issued to him over the allegation that he, along with former congressman Jacinto “Jing” Paras, was involved in a “honey trap” plot targeting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.
