MANILA, Philippines — Lawyer Levito Baligod, the counsel of 18 “maleta boys” who claimed to be former bodyguards of ex-Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co, could face additional charges should the recantation statements of four of his clients be proven.
In an interview on Friday, Matibag mentioned that the additional charges that Baligod could face include obstruction of justice and false testimony.
He added that the lawyer could also be disbarred.
“At pwede siyang habulin ng mga tao na binaon dito,” he emphasized.
