BACOLOD CITY — A 64-year-old Chinese national and a 32-year-old Filipino woman were arrested during an entrapment operation that yielded P470,400 worth of allegedly counterfeit seasoning products along the Economic Highway in Barangay Mansilingan here on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 5.

The operation, which ran from 3:15 p.m. to 7 p.m., was conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Bacolod City Field Unit alongside the CIDG Regional Special Operations Team-Negros Island Region, Police Station 7, and representatives from Nestlé Philippines Inc.

The bust stemmed from a formal complaint filed by the company regarding the widespread distribution and sale of fake Maggi Magic Sarap products in the city.
