Liverpool have reached an agreement in principle to sign Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain, securing the 23-year-old French international winger as the centerpiece of their post-Salah rebuild. The deal reportedly features a large upfront fee with achievable performance-related add-ons, bridging what had been a significant valuation gap between the two clubs.
PSG had been holding firm on a price tag between £120m and £145m. Liverpool’s offers hovered in the £100m to £112m range. The structured approach, with guaranteed money up front and bonuses tied to realistic milestones, appears to have threaded the needle.
Filling the Salah-shaped void
This move doesn’t happen without Mohamed Salah’s early contract termination. Losing arguably the most productive winger in Premier League history forced Liverpool into the market for a top-tier replacement, and Barcola quickly became their primary target.
Under new manager Andoni Iraola, Liverpool are clearly prioritizing attacking reinforcement.
