Residents and traders along Imedu-Olori Road in the Mowe area of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State have lamented the slow pace of the ongoing construction of the road, saying it has affected businesses and daily activities.
A PUNCH Metro correspondent who visited the area on Tuesday observed that motorcyclists found it difficult to ply the route, with passengers disembarking at different points to avoid accidents due to the condition of the road.
Our correspondent also gathered that the road construction, which was facilitated by the Senator representing Ogun West, Solomon Adeola, began about a month ago. Construction materials and equipment were also seen along the road, but no active work was ongoing.
Speaking with our correspondent on Tuesday, the residents said that the bad road has affected their businesses as potential customers do not take that route.
